New Local Table menu unleashed
A process of fine creation, the new menu just printed September 1st. This new publication offers sample menus for all seasons based on the availability of local foods found around the Kawarthas and Ontario.

Getting Crafty at the Focus Fair earlier this month. Hand-made table napkins accented with various silk-screen prints. The Pigs were a hit!

The Peterborough Examiner published an article last week discussing the present situation with community gardens in Peterborough. Peggy-Gene Baillie

Peggy-Gene Baillie is the owner of Local Table. Local Table operates out of the Sadleir House Kitchen. Sadleir House hosts a variety of local businesses/ organizations and is owned and operated by the Peter Robinson Community and Student Association. Peggy-Gene has a history of being a passionate about food. With a history of culinary expertise and organic farming, Peggy brings her skills to Peterborough in full force. Sitting as the Chair of the Peterborough Community Garden Network, she facilitates in the development of a more active urban agriculture movement in the area. Farming for the 1st time in the Peterborough region, growing foods based on beauty and preserving. The foods are being sold at the Peterborough Farmers Market, through Local Table Catering, and to local restaurant establishments. Many of the foods will be preserved at the time of harvest. This will be done in conjunction with workshops co-ordinated by Peterborough Food (a local food action group)and subsidized by the City of Peterborough to teach people that arts of food preservation. Peggy also a member of a craft collective called Lady Inc, creating culinary accessories for the table and kitchen.
